It’s all pretty simple to get going: First, make sure your camera’s firmware is up to date, set the camera to manual mode, clear all your camera settings, and format the memory card. Then you can head to the Magic Lantern site and download the software that matches your firmware version exactly. Once you copy it to your SD card, you can put it in your camera, turn it on, and navigate to “update firmware.” This will cause it to boot the new software. Then you’ll be up and running with Magic Lantern.
