Works but three big gotchas

Works great, but there are two big gotchas with the user experience. First gotcha: joining the meeting is not enough! It is a TWO STEP PROCESS. You begin with NO AUDIO, unless you remember to also click the phone icon, and connect there as well. This should have been integrated. Second gotcha: YOUR MICROPHONE BEGINS HOT! You must remember to mute your microphone. Should have been a single tap of a top-level icon to do this, as it is a common user task, but instead it takes many clicks into a sub-menu to mute and un-mute. Third gotcha: NO BLUETOOTH. Just phone speaker. Crank volume all the way up and hope you can hear. There is no audio selection menu, so no way to route the audio to another device such as a headset or Bluetooth speaker.

Decent Tech, Horrible Login Experience, App to Avoid

I can’t begin to count how many times I have missed meetings due to the absolutely absurd mobile app login experience.
First, it randomly forgets what is stored on your device and you end up having to re-login to your account. But if that was not annoying enough..
When you login, you are subjected to a CAPTCHA challenge on your mobile device. I mean **really**? How can robot software use my iPhone to attempt to break into this system? But it gets better.
The CAPTCHA is presented not just once with a bunch of fuzzy images, but does the image replace thing. It is like a finish line that keeps on moving. But it gets better...
Then after you complete the first infernal CAPTCHA challenge, it will commonly throw up another one. Two or three is the regular, not fun on an iPhone.
And by that point you have probably joined your meeting very late *if* you cleared the hurdles.
And then somewhere down the line, it forgets your stored credentials and you do it all over again. But that is not the worst part...
The worst part is when you invite someone else and they sign up for an account and get hit with this CAPTCHA nonsense in the mobile app. I have had attendees refuse to join and only dial in because of this.
Avoid this app.

A little favor

I am planning to use this app to teach students, as I was fascinated by its whiteboard and screen share features on iOS devices. I still haven’t tried an actual meeting yet, but I have noticed two major suggestions to improve. First, the whiteboard should support Apple Pencil, so users can use one-finger gestures like other drawing or note-taking apps and be able to use the double-tap feature on the Pencil 2. Second, the app should support the 2018 iPad Pro screen ratio. Some screen elements around the edge has cut off, and I hope the app could fill the entire screen. I will update the review as I use it for actual meetings and/or once the app is updated.

I just got off the phone with Join.me CS. After paying $150 for a year membership. I called to see if they could cancel my subscription (which you cannot do online?) . It also took them 3 days to email me back - WTF?I also asked for a partial pro rated refund for unused time. I explained that during my free trial everything worked well but in the last 5 months the bandwidth was horrible - giving me dropped calls. Furthermore the entire experience of using the product for my clients was not working. They always had to download do updates and so on. The UX?UI is horrible. It was so bad that my client will simply not use it. The killer is that they declined giving me a refund I feel that is to ally illegal They should prorate this? If our considering this i would look elsewhere I found uber conference now I love it and so do our clients.

We used this during our meeting today and it got the job done. It was perfect. I don't know why people are saying virus but we used the web version and our host used the desktop version for the microphone features. Everything seems great.

Be careful when using join.me. Their terms and conditions do not leave you out once you purchased something, unless you explicitly state this to them. Close to fraud.

This is a great tool to use on the fly. I've used other web-based programs and I have ran into pop-up advertising and install additional software just to make those programs work. But Join Me is very simple and easy to use right from my desktop. I have did several online meetings and I love it.

I have tried a few other similar programs, and none weere as simple to understand and use.

I guess if you want to be super critical, I assume that you will find something you do not like, you almost always can. For me, right now, with limited used, I have found none.

So simple, you can install it on your and mom's computer, and reduce those 'my computer is acting up again' phone call. All mom has to say is JOIN ME again :-))

The software does what it says it does, It creats a irc server on windows that is easy to use and setup, nice interface, and so forth. They even say in there readme it isn't for bigger networks because it doesn't support server linking and flood control, but its missing allot of other things (see cons). It runs strait out of the box, no instilation either. It has ops and some commands, and seems perfect for somewhat smaller networks. It doesn't lag, and its simple to set up. Its greats for what it says its great for. It also supports BOTs, using DLLs. Its wonderful for people that need something simple.

Cons

No nickserv, chanserv, or any other 'serv' for that matter. And no options to add it. You have to restart the server for the MOTD file to be updated, but that ain't to bad unless you got allot of people in your server. It isn't really expandible, but it is easy to use.

This is fine if all you want is something to use on and off and don't require anything fancy, but if you are looking for something that you want running basically 24/7 forget it - that is unless you want to leave a local user logged on constantly!
It dosw not run as a service, and thrfore a user needs to be logged on locally for it to work.
While I would like more of the 'Fancy' stuff too, if it would just run as a service I could deal with it, but since it dose not......

You gave this the LOWEST possible score for functionality that it is not intended to have? That's like complaining that my car doesn't fly. This app is for ad-hoc use to share screens like remote assist - not remote desktop...that's what LogMeIn.com is for.
